How Does an Electric Reach Truck Battery Work?
Electric electric reach trucks mainly rely on lithium batteries as a power source, and supply power to core components such as driving motors, hydraulic systems, and electronic control systems. During the charging process, the external charging device controls the voltage and current through the battery management system to input power to the battery. The lithium ions in the active material of the positive electrode of the lithium battery are removed and migrated to the negative graphite layer through the electrolyte, where they are embedded to store energy. At the same time, electrons flow through the external circuit to the negative electrode, maintaining charge balance. As the charge is completed, the battery voltage gradually rises to the set safe upper limit.
During discharge, lithium ions are released from the negative electrode and returned to the positive electrode through the electrolyte, while in the external circuit, electrons flow from the negative electrode to the motor and control system, providing the required power. The electronic control system adjusts the motor output power in real time according to the driver’s operation instructions, and realizes the acceleration, deceleration, lifting, descending and fork forward movement.
